Children's Programs

At Ionia First, we feel that the reign of God is both a present
and a future reality.

We are committed to our youth programs, for it is only
through our younger members that this reign will be assured.

We understand that the needs and interests of the new generation
need fresh ideas and modern ways to guide them into a spiritual
connection with the Almighty.

Our youth staff, directed by Beverly Brown, offers a wide range
of programs designed to appeal to several age groups.

BIBLE VENTURES

What a great fall we had learning about our Super God! The kids took lots of time to learn about all of God’s creation, who the evil Satan is, how Adam and Eve made trouble for us all. We learned about a very faithful man named Noah and the big job God gave him to do. We saw the Tower of Babel go up and what God did about that! We met a wonderful couple name Abram and Sarai who had a baby when they were over 90 years old! We learned that even though we do some bad things in this life, God sent us Jesus to show us that He loves us no matter what! And we can believe that that’s true because when God promises something...He means it! A covenant is important to Him!

But don’t worry if you missed any of these wonderful stories, because Kim Paton will be reviewing these the first Sunday in January. We have a fun way to review them so don’t miss it!

Yes Bible Ventures will begin again on Sunday morning at 9:30a.m. on January 3rd. That’s the day before some of you head back to school after Christmas Break.

Check out these dates too:
Sunday, December 20
Kid’s Church both services. No Bible Ventures

Thursday, December 24
(Christmas Eve) 7:00pm This service is for the whole family! It’s “kid oriented” as well as for adults!

Sunday, December 27
Kids’ Church both services. No Bible Ventures.

Sunday, January 3
Bible Ventures at 9:30 a.m. More great stories from Genesis!
You won’t want to miss any of them!

BIBLE VENTURES

GENESIS GENESIS GENESIS

We are zooming along through Genesis with our preschoolers through 5th graders! They have learned so much about the people God taught lessons to in the Old Testament. We’ve learned that those people can teach US lessons too. We’ve also seen how God was with people back then and that He promises to be with us.

Now we are headed into learning about Jacob (we’ve already learned about Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebekah and the rest of the family). Jacob had a twin brother, Esau, and things weren’t always smooth between them, to say the least! So he had LOTS of adventures that got him into LOTS of trouble. But, you know what? God was with him through it all! When he did  good things and when he did bad things. God NEVER gave up on Jacob and...He won’t give up on us! If you’d like to read his story, try reading Genesis 25:19 through Genesis 35. I know it is long, that is why it is taking almost a month and a half for us to learn about him at Bible Ventures. Then, we will study Joseph. Now, there’s a hero you’ll want to know about!

Come and join us each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. We enjoy a good Bible story together, play a game, have a snack, and learn even more about our wonderful God.

*Important Note: There will be an Easter Egg Hunt at 9:30 a.m. during Bible Ventures on Easter Sunday.

Youth!

All middle school and high school students,

We are starting a new class for you!
If you’ve got questions about God or about how to be a Christian at school,
