On Sunday 9/25/2011 Paul Stock, a missionary who ministers in Pakistan, gave us a taste of a Pakistani Christian Service. He led us in songs (some in a Pak language) and even dance. The concert featured IHS students and alumni. A freewill offering was held during the concert to benefit the Ionia Commission on Aging in its fight against cancer. The band started out the night with a Thad Jones piece:
"Second Race"
featuring several solos.
(including IoniaFirst's own R.J. Gardner)

Next the band played
the theme from the movie:
"Rocky"

Then the band played
the theme from the TV show:
"The Flintstones"

The band also played
another Thad Jones tune:
"Greetings and Salutations"

After a short intermission,
the band returned with:
"MacArthur's Park"

The band then played:
"Super Bone meets the Badman"
a musical duel between
Trombone (R.J. Gardner)
and
Saxophone (Ethan Fitzpatrick)

The band ended the night with:
"Chameleon"
